A Letter from the Board

Late summer greetings to our friends and members!

August is so very full each year. I love the changing light, the fullness of fields and gardens, and the longing for each day to linger, for time to slow down. Meanwhile, there is the anticipation of fall, with it’s new beginnings and energy for school, sports…and our new church year! ....

The Power of the Power Washer

Many thanks to Eric Waite for power washing areas outside the church - what a great way to start the new church year!

RE Welcome Back Party!

Our Religious Exploration classes will be starting soon! This year we will be focusing on the newly voted-in UU Values: Love, Justice, Equity, Transformation, Pluralism, Interdependence, and Generosity. (aka, L. JETPIG!)

We will welcome back our kiddos on Sunday, September 15 at 9:15 am with some ice-breakers, games, crafts, and of course - snacks! All children, parents, and teachers are invited to attend this fun kickoff party.

Classes will begin on October 6. If you would like to teach, either on a regular rotation or for a one-time activity, OR if you have any questions about our RE program, please contact Colleen at colleen.munson@uucsw.org.

Exciting news! We have adopted 600 voters and 260 letters are ready to be sent. At our July meeting, 100 letters were completed and 5 bundles were taken away. Good steady progress is being made!

We are planning a September party hosted by Kris Allen on Tuesday, September 10, from 10 - noon

If you aren't able to get to a letter writing party, I can prepare a packet for you and we can find a way to connect.
