A Letter from Rev. Laurel
Dear UUCSW,
It’s wild to realize we’re already nearing the end of June and my time at UUCSW. Saying goodbye is hard, and I’m excited for you all to meet Rev. Misty-Dawn come fall.
I’ll be available for pastoral emergencies through the end of August and then Rev. Misty-Dawn starts on September 1st. I will not be checking email, so please reach out on my cell phone if there’s an emergency.
Many of you have been asking about the no contact rule. It’s for two years and does include social media, so I’ll be removing all my UUCSW friends on Facebook. I know this rule can feel harsh, but it’s to make space for the congregation to get to know the next minister. I don’t want to get in the way of your relationship with Rev. Misty-Dawn, so I will be holding this boundary.
Our last church gathering will be the going away party at the Hall’s house on Saturday June 29th. I hope to see you there and celebrate all that we’ve built together these last five years! I’m proud of all that we’ve done and wish you all well in your partnership with Rev. Misty-Dawn.
