“Finding Community and Connection In Your Own Front Yard”

Sunday, July 14 at 9:30 am

First Sunday at the Turquoise Table

Join us as we learn about the turquoise table and community connection in our front yard. What is the Turquoise Table? Shared discussion about community, making connection and meeting friends. What was your early experiences going to church and dream what the future could bring.

This Sunday we will be having a guest - Stephanie Stuchlik, the Westborough Turquoise Table initiator who will share the origin of the Turquoise Table and how to make connection and meet friends at the table in our front lawn.

Summer Services are a great time for all congregations to get to know each other and to engage in self exploration. Each Sundays’ gathering will consist of open discussion conducted by co-leaders of the UUCSW. These discussion suggestions are from Kristin Schell The Turquoise Table and have been modified to fit this Unitarian Universalist setting. This year's Summer Services are intended to introduce the New Turquoise Table to the congregation, the community and to welcome other churches.

Colleen will be away a few weeks this summer, although she will be available by text & email for part of the time.

  • Sat, July 6-Fri, July 12 - RE Week at Ferry Beach. This week is DRE study leave, however I will be doing my admin work as usual, and I will be available by text and email.
  • Sun, July 28-Fri, Aug 9 - on vacation, not checking email. If you have any situations that need immediate attention during this time, please contact Nancy Siegel at nsiegal185@msn.com

On Sat, June 29 we held our Send-off Party for Rev. Laurel at the Hall's house. The turnout was lovely and despite the rain we were all there, most in person, and several in spirit, to send her on her way, as Kala sang, "in the shelter of our arms". Farewell Laurel- make us and yourself proud. You left us better than you found us.

Thanks for a great 5 years!

~Your loving congregation.

Book Group

Our next book group meeting will be tomorrow: Fri, July 12 at 7pm at Central One Bank, 40 South Street, Westborough. The book this month is The Measure, by Nikki Erlick.

The Measure follows eight people after they, like the rest of the world, receive a box containing a string that designates their lifespan. The book explores how these people’s lives and relationships change as a result of knowing the length of their lives or choosing not to know at all.

Please contact Susie Wells with any questions: susie48winnip@gmail.com.

All are welcome!
