Excellence in Teaching

Congratulations to Mrs. Pope and Mrs. Pinochi for being recognized at the Humboldt County Excellence in Teaching Awards Ceremony on Wednesday this week. We think all our teachers are excellent but it's nice to have two of our amazing staff recognized for their tireless efforts to engage students in a hands-on science experience.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Crusader Corral was a smashing success! A huge thank you to all of you for your help. Special thanks to our committee for their tireless hours of preparation, execution, and clean up!

Great teams are magic. And at SB we have some amazing teams:

Rex Bohn, our auctioneer. Our fearless leader Cindy Finck. The Superhero team of Holly Costa, Zach Costa, Katie Maples, Shawn Maples, Melissa Hall, Brian Finck, Dan and Terrie Cruz, Rodney and Sonja Maples, Lucas Hall, Melinda Cox, Cameron Renner, Heidi McLaughlin, Steve Kimberling, Joelle and Todd Lemley, Katie and Russel Boham, DJ Snowton, Karen Worsley, Bridget Riggins, and Sarah Shanahan. And our army of unnamed volunteers who helped at every step of the way!

Thank you to our teachers and the magicians: Lynn Enemark, Shirley Sobol, Scott Heiser, Matt Grummert, Kathy McTague, and Greg Horne.

Thank you to Sabrina Gasdik for bringing down the house with the National Anthem!

In the coming months, if possible, please make a point of supporting these businesses and letting them know and when you do please acknowledge their generosity to the community! In these challenging economic times, we want businesses to know we support them.
