Office Closure

The Synod Office is closed today, Monday, May 17.
We are taking a little rest after the synod assembly!

THANK YOU to all who attended our 2021 Synod Assembly on Saturday - what a joy to "be with" you all!

MANY thanks to our hosts at Trinity/Lynnwood AND the many awesome volunteers who made our event possible!

ELCA Domestic Hunger Grants
Registration for Domestic Hunger Grants is underway. Ministries can apply until May 21. Grants are available for up to $10,000 a year for up to three years. More information about the grants and how to apply is available at ELCA.org/domestichungergrants.

Everyday Spirituality: Ways you are faithful in the ordinary

Thursday, May 20, 9am on Zoom

This free 60-minute webinar features Bishop James Hazelwood, New England Synod, ELCA. He will present practical ideas to discover how seemingly ordinary activities such as walking, gardening, cooking or singing cab be an expressions of one's faith. We will learn together, laugh and discover new ways God is present in our lives. There will also be resources shared and time for questions.

Faith Action Network Spring Summits!

At the Summit you can gather virtually with advocates in your region and in your issue area of interest and begin to consider what steps we might take together in the year ahead. This event is open to advocates across the state, and the content and breakouts will be the same each Sunday.

2021 John Hope Franklin Annual Symposium
The Future of Tulsa’s Past: The Centennial of the Tulsa Race Massacre and Beyond

The Arkansas-Oklahoma Synod is inviting all ELCA members to join the 2021 John Hope Franklin Annual Symposium, May 26-29

A post-symposium event on May 29 is sponsored by the Synod, the African Descent Lutheran Association and the ELCA Racial Justice Ministries. Bishop Eaton and Vice President Bill Horne will be participating in the May 29th event.

Summer I Session

FAB’s 4-week Summer I Session begins on June 1st, and registration is now open! Courses will explore subjects such as California's ecosystems, power and leadership through the lens of Hitler and Gandhi's stories, the many incarnations of Perry Mason, and more! We hope you will join us for these captivating courses. Individuals 50+ are welcome, please share with your friends and family! Courses are $25 each or bundle all 6 for $100.
