Warehouse Update: AB 1000 Pulled by Author

The proposed warehouse ban Assembly Bill 1000 (Reyes; D-San Bernardino) was scheduled for hearing at yesterday's Assembly Local Government Committee, however the author pulled the bill from consideration at the last minute. While this puts a pause on the proposed warehouse ban, we anticipate new legislation to arise on this matter prior to the deadline to introduce new legislation next month.

AB 1000 would ban new warehouse projects over 100,000 s.f. within 1,000 feet of a "sensitive" receptor. AB 1000 is a de facto ban on warehouses and will kill new housing and jobs reliant on these projects.
