State Office Conversion Projects Move Forward

Yesterday, Governor Newsom's office provided an update on the conversion of three office buildings to affordable housing in downtown Sacramento.

CBPA is taking an active role on the issue of office conversion by forming the industry's adaptive reuse workgroup. The group was created to discuss challenges and identify potential solutions to streamline the adaptive reuse of commercial properties. The shortage of housing has led some property owners to consider conversion to realize the highest value and best use of their property.

CBPA staff will continue to engage on this issue to help shape the future of our industry.
