“Side With Love” Spring Standouts on the River St. Overpass start Saturday

Rev. Susan Chorley and our friends at First Parish UU have announced the restart of these standouts starting Saturday, April 6 from 8:00-10:00am. If weather forces a cancellation, look for an update on the Facebook invitation tomorrow. Hope all can join and share the love with drivers traveling north and south on Route 3, complete with colorful banners, music, fellowship, and lots of waves and honks!

Snacks + Song | My Songs of Faith concert with Bob Caldeira

Bob Caldeira, the Youth Minister here at UCC Norwell, invites everyone to join him for an hour of his favorite faith-inspired songs that promise to evoke various emotions and "Keep up the Faith!" With music suitable for all ages, he hopes to inspire listeners to tap their feet, share a laugh, shed a tear, and strengthen their faith. Refreshments will be provided, so please RSVP.

Outdoor Church School all of April

For the month of April, we will be having church school outside. When children are dismissed from the sanctuary they will go to their regular classrooms then venture outside from there. Please send them dressed for the outdoors including boots and warm layers. Please reach out to jenny with any questions or concerns.

Explorers April 7 11:30-1 at Norris Reservation

Change in plans for this week! We’ll meet at Norris Reservation at 11:30, feel free to pack a lunch for your Explorer. Pick up will be at 1. With all this rain, please wear boots and dress warmly!

This Sunday: UCC Norwell Lunch + Learn | Christian Nationalism

Join with members and friends to learn about Christian Nationalism on Sunday, April 7, 11:30am-1:00pm. Together we’ll watch excerpts from a videotaped talk by Rev. Dr. John Dorhauer, then we'll gather in fellowship hall for soup and small-group discussions.

Children + Family Ministry Team for the Eggstravaganza thanks you

The 2024 UCC Norwell Eggstravaganza event took place on Saturday March 30 at the church. The sun came out to create an incredible day for the more than 300 children in attendance. With 3,000 eggs to hunt for, a DJ, glitter tattoos, a petting zoo, crafts and a visit from Peter Rabbit himself, the event was a huge success! The smiles and laughter could be seen and heard throughout the sanctuary. Special thanks to all the volunteers that made this happen. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Cooking for a Cause | Friday April 12, 4:30-6:30 pm

Join us next week in preparing some breakfast goodies for Habitat volunteers AND hear from Melissa Boynton who will give a chat about how it all works. NNS announces upgrade and redesign of playground

The new NNS playground will consist of new structures, slides, monkey bars, music play and various climbing equipment. The base of the playground will be a poured-in-place rubber surfacing with a drop down sandbox. We are also installing new fencing that will match the fencing currently in the green space.

We are expected to break ground at the beginning of July, anticipating a grand opening for the September 2024 school year!

Celebrating our Pastoral Care Ministry

Our Pastoral Care Ministry Team gathered to honor the pastoral care ministry of Tish Clark. The Pastoral Care Ministry Team began in the early 2000’s to support then-Pastor Chapin Garner in his ministry of visitation. Tish chaired the Pastoral Care Ministry Team for nearly 20 years.
