Worship Sunday at 10:00 a.m. | | |
On Sunday, July 21, you are invited to worship. The service includes uplifting vocal sacred music, instrumental music, congregational prayer, scripture readings, offerings in support of major local and international missional projects, and a sermon related to the human experience.
This Sunday, our sermon, entitled “Spiritual Paralysis,” is based on Matthew 12:38-45. In this passage, Jesus is confronted by teachers of religious law and Pharisees who want Him to authenticate His authority by performing a sign or miracle. However, Jesus wants them to understand that they can authenticate His authority after experiencing what surrendering to His will produces. Miracles alone do nothing to save people from their sins or change their circumstances; miracles create a need for more miracles. But fulfilling God’s will opens doors to transformation and salvation – the necessary route to new life in Jesus Christ. Our world desperately needs transformation from chaos to order, the restoration of the lost reign of God, and the alignment of our priorities to God’s will.
Come! Let us reflect on the spiritual dimensions of human life, secular values, and Christian discipleship. Let us worship God!
I look forward to seeing you.
Rev. Dr. Charles S. G. Boayue, Jr.
Senior Pastor

Worship at Berkley First
Sermon: “The E-word”
Scripture: 1 Peter 3:15
Evangelism has unfortunately become a bit of a dirty word in some circles. This Sunday at Berkley First, Pastor Zack unpacks “the e-word” – drawing inspiration from Scripture and empowering us to share our faith in practical ways. Evangelism is part of the work of every Christ follower, but it doesn’t have to be scary. Worship with us online or in-person and discover some helpful tools for sharing your faith.
Check out the Berkley First Website for more information or to worship online.
