THIS WEEK'S SESSION HIGHLIGHTS




Graduate Team Research Concept Competition

Tuesday, April 19 at 1:00 PM via Zoom


Teams of graduate students were invited to develop interdisciplinary team research concepts to share at the Team Research Symposium. Six finalist teams will present: (1) the research goal they wish to address, (2) a summary of the challenges associated with the research goal, (3) a description of the processes they would use to achieve their research goal, and (4) a summary of how each team member could contribute to those processes. During this session, each team will present for five minutes and answer questions for five minutes. Judges will select the winning team, which will be announced during the Awards Presentation.




Undergraduate Team Research Concept Competition

Streamlyne IRB Module Training for A&S

In preparation for the launch of the Streamlyne IRB Module system in mid-May, each department chair is being asked to identify a staff or faculty member who can act as a skilled resource for the department. It is important that as many faculty as possible are trained on this system before it goes live.

Congratulations go out to Jane Ellen Smith, Professor of Psychology, for being the 2022 recipient of the Erna S. Fergusson Award. As a recognition bestowed by the UNM Alumni Association, the Erna S. Fergusson Award (formerly the Award of Distinction) recognizes exceptional accomplishments and/or commitment or distinguished service to the University of New Mexico.


Jane, as well as her fellow 2022 UNM Alumni Award recipients, will be recognized at an awards dinner this Wednesday, April 20th at the Event Center at Sandia Golf Club. Registration is still open.
