Faculty Highlight.jpg

Associate Professor Jessica Richardson, PhD was recently awarded the Meritorious Poster Submission by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Convention in Washington DC for her poster titled, "Lexical Diversity in Discourse Produced by People with Primary Progressive Aphasia". She also recently received a 5-year NIH grant entitled, "Optimizing Targeted Interventions for Aphasia." This ground-breaking research combines traditional behavioral interventions with transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to improve the language functioning of people who have language impairments resulting from strokes.
