OVPR Principle Investigator Listserv


The Office of Vice President for Research is inviting principle investigators at UNM to sign up for the PI listserv. This listserv serves as a communication tool, so that PIs stay up to date on necessary information and details concerning UNM’s research enterprise. They will send out emails regarding, but not limited to:


  • Upcoming Grant Opportunities (internal and external)
  • Limited Competitions
  • Emerging Research Safety Protocols
  • Research Events and Celebrations
  • Open Calls for Proposals
  • Grant Writing Workshops

Community-based Research Initiative 2024-2025 Call for Proposals

 

The UNM Center for Regional Studies (CRS) in partnership with the College of Arts & Sciences

(A &S) announces its Community-based Research Initiative. This initiative is to financially support

two community-based research project during FY25. The CRS and A & S partnership will provide

up to $30,000 for the fiscal year. CRS invites project proposals from UNM faculty.

2024 Women in STEM Award Call for Nominations


The awards, now in their ninth year at UNM, range from $3,000 to $15,000, and three types of grants will be given. The categories include travel awards to foster collaborations, seed awards to stimulate research projects that will lead to additional external funding, and workshop awards designed to generate innovative research ideas and collaborations.

Congratulations to graduate student Vittoria Totaro who's proposal titled "Sustainable Farmers' Mental Health in a Changing Climate: A Socio-Ecological Study" has been selected for funding for the 2024-2025 award year by the Southwest Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (SWCOEH) Pilot Projects Research Training (PPRT) Program. This program is part of the NIOSH-funded Education and Research Center (ERC) at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health.
