Supporting Mrs. Charles

The PWC, the faculty and staff, and the school community would like to extend our deepest condolences to our beloved Mrs. Charles. Toward the end of the last

school year, Mrs. Charles’ husband of 44 years, Winston, suffered a heart attack. We were all heartbroken to have learned that during the summer, Mr. Charles passed away after succumbing to his illness.

During this incredibly difficult time, it is important that we come together as a community to offer our support and compassion. We ask everyone to offer their sympathy with sensitivity, avoiding constant reminders of her loss that may exacerbate her grief. Instead, let us provide a comforting presence and respect her need for space as she navigates this challenging period.

May Mrs. Charles find solace in the outpouring of love and prayers from our community, and may she be surrounded by God’s grace and peace. Thank you for your compassion and understanding.

Back to School Night

Back to School Night will begin in the church with a presentation by Mrs. Pinkofsky, followed by teacher presentations in the classrooms. This event is for parents only and will conclude with a reception in the school courtyard, featuring refreshments.

To make this event a success, we need parent volunteers for set-up, bar service, and clean-up. Don’t worry—you won’t miss any of the presentations while helping out!

Additionally, we are seeking donations of red and white wine for the reception. Please drop off wine donations at the school front office.

Sign up today to volunteer or donate. Thank you for your support!

Service Opportunities

Playground Updates!

We're excited to have you volunteer as Playground Assistants! Your support ensures a fun and safe recess for our kids.

Each K-4 grade is assigned two months for recess coverage (e.g., 4th grade in September, 3rd grade in October). Check the link below for the full schedule. If we need more help during a week, all K-4 parents will be notified about open slots.

Updated Recess Policies for DK- 4th Grade

  • Volunteers Needed: 3 per session (10:50 am - 12:20 pm, Monday through Thursday) to cover key playground areas.
  • Game/Activity Rules:
  • Students must not stand against walls while balls are being thrown or kicked to prevent injuries.
  • Blue Blocks are for building, not for weapons.
  • Students may build “hollow” structures with Blue Blocks but should not climb on top of them.
  • Share the Blue Blocks, and keep the nearby 4-square game area open when Blue Blocks are in use (students may use the other 4-square grids).
  • Tricycles for DK and K students only in the designated “road” area.
  • Volunteer Conduct: Focus on supervising, keep phones put away, and don’t take photos. If issues arise, get help from a coach or teacher.

Congrats to all families! We have had a huge improvement in tardies. Thanks everyone!

I love colorful nails BUT not on our students. Please help ensure everyone follows the nail polish rules, even down to the littlest students.

Appreciate your support,
