REV. KATRINA FORMAN PREACHING

CHILDCARE + SUNDAY SCHOOL

Childcare and Sunday School will be provided this Sunday. Children kindergarten through 5th grade will start in worship in the sanctuary and leave after the Childrens Message. Any child up to 4 years old can be dropped off with childcare staff on the mezzanine level of the Assembly Room starting at 9:30am.

Weather permitting, we will enjoy some time with the children on the playground on the church grounds. Children will be reunited with their parents after worship in the Assembly Room.

SUMMER JOYS AND CONCERNS

As we continue with summer worship with Grace Presbyterian Church, our Joys and Concerns will be spoken aloud rather than printed in the bulletin. Please continue to share joys and concerns with Rev. Katrina via email (kforman@unioncong.org) ahead of the service, aloud during the service if you are in person, and when prompted by the chat usher on the livestream. This is one of many small changes you may notice as we stretch ourselves to worship together with another congregation.

DONATE TOILETRIES AND OVER-THE-COUNTER MEDICINE PRODUCTS FOR TONI'S KITCHEN THROUGH THE END OF JULY

There is a box for the Toni's Kitchen Toiletry Drive in the back of the Assembly Room. Diapers and over-the-counter children's medicine are especially needed. Thanks!

REV. KATRINA WILL BE AWAY FROM THIS SUNDAY, JULY 21 (AFTER CHURCH) AND RETURNING TO THE OFFICE ON MONDAY, JULY 29

Rev. Bob Chase will be available if there is a need for pastoral care from a minister during that time. Email is the best way to reach Bob (robertjchase286@gmail.com) and his phone number 216-789-2314.

A MESSAGE FROM MODERATOR TIM CRIST ABOUT THE SUBDIVISION OF THE P2 LOT

The church's application to subdivide the P2 lot at 169 Cooper Avenue has been placed on the town Planning Board agenda for Monday, July 22 at 7:30pm. The Planning Report can be accessed by clicking here or by clicking the blue button below. Paul Sionas, Tim Crist, and Jon Thomsen plan to attend the meeting. Neighbors have been informed by both Rev. Katrina Forman and the town.

When the Van Dyke house (now the P2 residence) was moved across the street to its current location in the late 1950s to make room for the Vincent Building, church leaders were careful to place it to the eastern end of the property to allow for subdivision in the future. About 18 months ago, the Leadership Council decided to initiate an application for subdivision, and following a new survey, attorney review, and Historic Preservation Commission review, the process has now reached the Planning Board. If the subdivision is approved, the resulting lot will remain zoned R-1 for a single-family home. No decision has been made regarding a possible future disposition of the lot.
