WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY |

Given the current surge in covid cases in our area, I feel it prudent to hold our Wednesday night Bible Study class via Zoom. Once this surge is relented we can begin to join in person again.

COMMUNION ON THE GO MINISTRY |

If you would like to participate in “Communion on the Go”, please send the number of consecrated wafers you need and your family name in a message (by noon Saturday, prior to Sunday) to one of the following people:
Your consecrated wafers will be available for pickup Sunday from 12-12:30 PM. They will be packaged in a zip lock bag with your family name, untouched by human hands, and will be in the rear of the church on a table as you enter the doors.
If you decide to use this option and would like your request to be recurring please note that in the message. If for any reason you want to change your order or skip a Sunday, please contact Edgar or Beth.
If this outreach ministry does not work for you, contact Edgar or Beth and we can discuss possible alternatives.

Please join us Sunday, September 12, 2021 as we will celebrate and bless the beginning of a somewhat back-to-normal new school year!
We are thrilled to return to the ritual of preparing our bags for the year ahead. Anyone from babes to 100+ years old is invited to bring their backpacks, briefcases, school bags, diaper bags, computer bags, etc. to church for a special blessing after the announcements.
Make sure to grab a blessing bag tag as you leave church.

Online Survey

The members of the Bishop Search & Nominating Committee are happy to announce that an online survey concerning the search for our new bishop is now available.
We ask that you please complete the online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DIOCESEOFLOUISIANA prior to attending one of the listening sessions listed below. The listening sessions work in conjunction with the survey and will allow participants to narrow in on topics raised in the survey.
This week we need every church to share the survey link with everyone in your congregation through newsletters, emails, bulletins, and worship announcements.
The listening sessions are spread throughout the entire diocese. They are as follows:
Baton Rouge
- St. James, Baton Rouge - August 23 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- St. Luke's, Baton Rouge - August 28 from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Southwest
- St. John's, Thibodaux - August 26 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
