Source & Summit Eucharistic Procession


It was great to see so many Aggie families taking part in yesterday's Source & Summit Eucharistic Procession here in St. Paul. Even with a crowd of over 5,000, everywhere you turned you saw a familiar face!

Coach Streitz Named to 2024 MSHSBCA Hall of Fame


Mr. Mike Streitz was just named to the 2024 Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association (MSHSBCA) Hall of Fame Class. This prestigious award recognizes a coach’s commitment to the game of Baseball, to the student-athletes they develop, and to all they do to advance the sport of baseball.

 

He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on January 11th, 2025 at Target Field.

 

Congratulations to Mike on an outstanding accomplishment, having dedicated his career to coaching baseball, the last 20 years of which have been at Saint Agnes School!

Final Exams Start Wednesday, May 29th


Final exams will be held Wednesday, May 29 through Friday, May 31.

 Students in grades 7-12 are dismissed after the exam periods/end-of-year events are completed each day: 

·     Wednesday (after Baccalaureate Mass, appx. 12:30 PM) 

·     Thursday (after Picnic for 7-11, appx. 1:00 PM)

·     Friday (11:00 AM for 7-11; Seniors stay for Graduation Rehearsal)

Teachers will be available for review sessions, and students may stay on campus to study in various locations. As in the past, with a prior parent note or call, seniors with study halls need not report to campus during study hall exam times.


Please note that K-6 dismissal remains at 2:45 PM both Wednesday and Thursday. All students are dismissed at 11:00 AM on Friday and there is no After School Care.

Celebrating Father Moriarty


School families have the opportunity to celebrate Corpus Christi at the Church of Saint Agnes on Sunday, June 2 with Holy Mass at 10:30AM, followed by a Eucharistic Procession and cookout as we celebrate Father Moriarty’s 25th Ordination Anniversary and thank him for 12 incredible years of service to Saint Agnes Church and School.

Corpus Christi Cookout


The Saint Agnes Altar & Rosary Society, the Blessed Karl of Austria Men’s Club, and the Knights of Columbus are hosting the Corpus Christi Cookout Sunday, June 2, following the 10:30AM Mass and procession. Burgers, brats, and hot dogs, dessert and beverages will be served. There is no cost. This will be a celebration of Fr. Moriarty’s 25th Ordination Anniversary as well as a goodbye party before he is transferred to Holy Family Catholic Church in St. Louis Park.


We are hoping for a large Aggie turnout at Mass and his Jubilee celebration to show Fr. Moriarty how much we appreciate the last 12 years of service he has so faithfully shown to Saint Agnes Church and School.

With the conclusion the academic year upon us, we will be moving to a bi-weekly Parent Newsletter through the summer. Please refer to these emails as well as our website and mailings for updates and news as the 2024-25 Academic Year approaches over the summer months.

Reminder: Check Lunch Account Balances


Please check your lunch account balance. All negative lunch accounts must be brought to zero or a positive amount by the end of the school year.  You may make a payment on the school website or cash/check in the school office.  You may check your balance in Educate, look for Point of Sale (POS)  You can sort the list by any column header.  

 

Positive balances will roll over to next school year.  Parents of graduates (with no younger siblings enrolled in 23/24) will received refunds in mid-June.  If your family is not returning next year, please send me an email, so I can get a refund out to you also.  Email our Finance Manager, Ms. Sandy Veal, with questions.

On Wednesday, May 29th, the kitchen will be serving a “you pick” or “State Fair” day for K-6 Lunch.

 

Options will include hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, corn dogs, etc. Students will be able to pick from a few items until they are sold out.

Spring Sports Playoff Information

 

Softball to Play for Championship


Saint Agnes defeated Visitation 8-3 Saturday to advance to the Section 4AA Championship Game this Thursday, May 30. Game time is set for 4PM at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul. The Aggies are 21-2 on the season.

 

The Aggies will play either St. Croix Prep, Concordia Academy or Visitation. They would have to beat Saint Agnes twice to become champions.

 

Section 4AA Softball Brackets Tickets are required for the championship game(s) The online link has not been provided yet.

 

Baseball Advances in Section Play 


The baseball team defeated St. Paul Academy 10-0 behind the no-hit performance of pitcher Eric Cain last Thursday. The Aggies will host St. Croix Prep Tuesday, May 28 at 4PM at Concordia University. The winner advances to Thursday’s Section Semifinal game. Saint Agnes is 17-4 on the season.

 

Section 4AA Baseball Brackets

 

Track Sections Begin Thursday, May 30


Boys and Girls Track will compete this Thursday in the Section 4A Track Meet at Bethel University. Events begin at noon. Section finals will continue Saturday, June 1 with events beginning at 9AM at Bethel University.

 

6th Grade Boys Baseball Headed to the CAA Championship


Our 6th grade baseball team will play Nativity Thursday at 3:30PM for the Catholic Athletic Association (CAA) Championship. The game will be played at the Ford Little League Field.

This season Saint Agnes is offering two ways to buy tickets for high school athletic events. You can still purchase tickets with cash at the gate and now you may also purchase tickets online through our online ticketing partner GoFan. Many schools we play will be using the GoFan Box Office as well; many schools have gone completely cashless.

Aleks Program Information

Once again, the Math Department is pleased to extend a helping hand to our students over the summer in order to improve and strengthen our students’ math skills. Covers 3rd-12th graders. The cost is $35 for a 3-month subscription. Deadline for interest in the Aleks online math enrichment program: Friday, June 9th. The Aggie Open Golf Tournament is a fundraiser for the Athletic Department. Golf registration is full after just 10 days but we still need your help to make it successful! 

 

How can you help?
