VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Summer Safari Volunteers Needed

Summer Safari features a rotating workshop model for Sunday School. Each week, children will explore the same core scripture through exciting, hands-on activities in one of four distinct workshops: (only one workshop will be taught each week). Please sign up to lead or help with a Summer Safari workshop. We would like to divide the children into 2 groups based on age. If we do not have two workshop leaders the children will be combined into one group. Workshop leaders are responsible for planning the activity, based on the scriptures provided. If you need assistance with activity ideas, Brielle Giard and Sherrie Hill are happy to help! Visit the Google Sign-Up HERE or sign up on the hard copy schedule in the Narthex. Summer Safari will kick off on Sunday, June 9

SENIOR SUNDAY CELEBRATION

If anyone has a graduating senior (high school or college) contact Brielle Giard at bgiard412@gmail.com.

SENIOR SHEPHERDS

The Senior Shepherds will meet on Wednesday May 15th at 11:45am in the library for our usual delicious potluck and great conversation. This month we are celebrating the Ascension, when Jesus flies to heaven, by the traditional method of eating fowl, in recognition that birds also fly to heaven. We are also celebrating by wearing a bit of red to remember the Holy Spirit coming on Pentecost and by bringing a few wild flowers which at this time of year traditionally symbolize the soul coming to life and blossoming after a long winter sleep because the grace of God has touched it. Come join us in our celebration. Anybody over the age of 50 is welcome to join us. For more information email bettyprince25@gmail.com

MISSION IN ACTION/OUTREACH

For the month of May, we are collecting toiletries for the clients of the Travis County Community Center in Jonestown. Anything that you might use, they also need. Soap, shampoo, sunscreen, etc. Any sizes are welcome. There is a collection basket in the narthex.
