Dear members and friends of St. Raphael’s,
This coming Sunday is the Trinity Sunday, celebrating the triune nature of our God. That is to say, celebrating the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, three persons who are one God. (Remember the Eucharist is at 9:00 am!)
The Sunday Collect expresses this glory:
Almighty and everlasting God,
you have given to us your servants grace,
by the confession of a true faith,
to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity,
and in the power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity:
Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship,
and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father;
who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
I will be praying for you in some great church in Paris on this feast day. I don’t know which one yet!
We welcome back the Rev. Tara McGraw as our celebrant and preacher this week. Fr Bruce White will be with you on June 2 & 9. Thank you for making them welcome.
In case of pastoral emergency, Fr. Bill Gilmore is on call at 239 571-1023.
Next Monday is Memorial Day. We give thanks for all who have given their lives is service to our country. May they rest in peace and may we live up to their sacrifice.
God bless you all.
