Job Type: Full TimeReports to: Executive Director
Location: ISNA HQ, 6555 South 750 East, Plainfield, Indiana 46168
ISNA seeks an enthusiastic and organized Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with our target audience and promote our programs and services to Masjids, Islamic Schools, and communities. The ideal candidate is passionate about community engagement, possesses excellent communication skills, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, communications, public relations, or a related field with experience in communications, marketing, outreach etc.
- Computer Literacy – MS Office Suite, Google Suite
- Proven experience in outreach and community engagement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Job description:
- Develop and execute outreach plans to raise awareness about our organization’s mission and programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with masjid leaders, school leaders, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Develop an ISNA affiliation program with masjids and schools.
- Travel to Masjids for programs and Friday Sermons
- Travel and outreach in Ramadan to raise awareness & fund development
- Create opportunities for ISNA’s development opportunities at local levels, including at masjids.
- Help establish ISNA’s outreach events, ISNA Days, conferences, workshops, and community forums.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure alignment of outreach efforts with organizational goals and objectives.
- Track and analyze outreach metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of outreach strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
