Because Lutherans get the job done: we are indebted to our members who share their varied technical skills. Their willingness to give so much time to troubleshoot our AC issues, find the solution, and get the system up and running in time for Sunday's service is a great gift to the congregation. Their dedication makes our ministries grander, and oh-so much more comfortable. Pictured here is the tenacious Aaron J. working on the beast of a motor that was shipped from out of state. Per one Property Steward, "You just can't imagine how much that thing weighs!" What a blessing these folk are. We are better together.

It was a joy to honor Emanuel's graduates on Sunday. Pictured above are our high school grads Jacqueline S. (headed to TLU) and Kai S. (off to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi). We also celebrated Camryn P. earning her bachelor's degree and Heidi U. receiving her master's degree. Each graduate was given a quilt stitched by our Quick Quilters and a book for their journey signed by the congregation. Below are photos of the blessing with their families. We are so proud of you!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
IS THIS WEEK!
June 13-16 5:30 -7:30 pm
|
|
Keep our youth, families, and volunteers in your prayers as they learn more about how God is calling to help, to find, to follow, and to go! If you are not able to join us at the church as a participant or volunteer, please join us in spirit each day in prayer.
-
MONDAY JUNE 6: Pray for open hearts. In Matthew 13, Jesus shares the story of a farmer scattering seeds. The seeds that fell on good soil thrived, producing a harvest beyond the farmer’s wildest dreams! Ask God to begin preparing kids’ hearts, softening them and opening them to take in the “seeds” of God’s Word.
-
TUESDAY JUNE 7: Pray for wise leaders. Our volunteers hear a lot about what kids are going through, what’s on their minds, how they’re struggling, and what worries they have. Ask God to pour his wisdom into your leaders as they interact with kids, giving them the right words and actions to reflect the heart of God.
-
WEDNESDAY JUNE 9: Pray for relationships. When VBS kids build friendships with other kids and loving adults, it creates an open door for them to begin or deepen their friendship with Jesus. Ask God to bring a special, surprising friendship into each child’s life during VBS.
-
THURSDAY JUNE 10: Thank God for families. Parents or caregivers are usually the ones who get kids to our door. They signed kids up and brought them each day. Thank God for sending each family our way! Thank God for parents, grandparents, or even babysitters who love him and want kids to know and love him, too.

THE INDESCRIBABLE DEITY (TRINITY)
|
|
The Athanasian Creed does its best to explain God as three-in-one. Such a concept is incomprehensible, so we accept creation, redemption and sanctification as best we can—by faith through grace.
