Because Lutherans love group photos and cake! Last Sunday's worship was incredibly spirit-filled and these amazing faces were the reason why! Texas Lutheran University 's Campus Ministry led us in worship and it was glorious. Pastor Wes Cain challenged us to remember that our actions can speak louder than our words and Dr. Debbie Cottrell welcomed us into worship with greetings from TLU's vibrant campus. If you missed worship, experienced technical glitches, or just want to relive the amazing service, click here. We are better together.

BEING THE CHURCH

REFORMATION SUNDAY

Mark your calendars now for a festive worship service followed by our annual sausage supper on the lawn. Randall Springs is smoking delicious sausage links and Mike and the Middletones German Band returns to entertain during the meal. First responders are invited to lunch as a small token of appreciation for their service. A free will offering and bin for no-perishable food items for the Christian Cupboard will be available.

Please bring a side dish to complement the feast. Sign-up sheets are in the Narthex for sides to bring as well as volunteers for set up on Saturday and Sunday prior to supper, serving food and beverages, and clean up following. Can’t wait spend this special day with you!

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

CHILDREN & YOUTH EDUCATION

CHILDREN'S CHURCH begins September 3 for our PK to 5th grade learners. During worship the Vicars will lead students to designated classrooms, just down the hall from the sanctuary, as we begin the "Gathering Hymn" and then guide them back as we "Share the Peace." We hope you will make this a part of your family's weekly worship rhythm!

THE COMPASS COOPERATIVE is a weekly gathering on Sundays at 6pm for 6th to 12th grade students, hosted by our four church partners - Emanuel's, St. Andrew's, Spirit of Joy, and Friedens Church- and held on Spirit of Joy's campus. We will eat together, worship together, play games, and just enjoy each other's company. All are truly welcome so please, come join us!
