Because Lutherans love digging in the dirt. Emanuel's community garden got a spring facelift on Saturday with help from our friends at TLU. "Day of the Dogs" has been a university tradition of community service for over a decade. The 2023 theme, "Back to Our Roots" was fitting for a morning of weeding, fence building, and other preparations for new growth. Special thanks to Aaron J., Paul S., and Wayne S. for working with the students. See more photos of the day here. We are better together.

WORSHIP AT EMANUEL'S

Please join us Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

March 12, 2023 10:30AM Worship Bulletin

"Discerning an Exotic Species: A Lutheran Evangelist," is a 5-week sermon series concluding this Sunday, March 12. New and familiar voices and faces from our congregation have taken us deeper into our understanding of Evangelism, what the Bible teaches about being an evangelist, and how it applies to our everyday faith walk.

Led by Paul Sims, Dennis Sagebiel, and Pastor Marcus, the conversation will continue in the Family Life Center during the education hour on March 19 and 26. Come join us!

WEDNESDAYS DURING LENT

March 1-29

Please join us for a light supper at 6pm before Holden Evening Prayer at 7pm in the Women's Ministry Room.

BEING THE CHURCH

WE SEE YOU!

Hello Joy Circle! Thank you all for providing the delicious Lenten Supper on March 1st. Our worship sevice was cozy in the Women's Ministry Room. Join us next week as we learn more about the beloved hymn "Amazing Grace" in honor of it's 250th anniversary.

We see you in the middle row above the bassoon and violins, Evelyn D.! The San Antonio Mastersingers were in concert March 5th at Edgewood Performing Arts in San Antonio. Sharon K. said the chorus was "Beautiful!"

The Women's Ministry Room was transformed, yet again, on February 26th to house the 2023 Cub Scout Pack 107 Pinewood Derby. Family and friends cheered on the racers during the thrilling competition. Go Speed Racer Go!

The Property Stewards had a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 7th! Joe K. spent a ton of hours installing the new ice machine in the Women's Ministry Room. It involved not only installing the new equipment, but also updating the existing connections under the sink. Thank you, Joe!
