Head-to-head, mystery basket after mystery basket, tune in for an exclusive cooking competition between Chopping for Change participants from Grafton and Northeast Reintegration Center, inspired by the hit TV series Chopped.

Participants will explore paths to restoring their place in the community through conversations with local leaders. These conversations will emphasize the reentry experience, the trauma associated with returning, and policy solutions to lessen collateral sanctions.

The Friday, April 28, 2023 lunchtime forum will highlight the importance of lessening institutional and legal barriers to employment for returning citizens and how such changes can create stronger and more equitable communities.

Meet John Zeller, volunteer at the Men's Shelter computer lab.

“My mom is a nurse and helped neighbors with medical issues when I was growing up and I sometimes went along. As a Christian, helping others is part of a full life.

I enjoy education and majored in computer science. Education is a great way for people to improve their lives and we have more knowledge than ever online.

I am the Lead System Analyst at the Cleveland Clinic for the Healthcareedu.ccf.org and mylearning.ccf.org sites. I volunteer in the computer lab on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings."

Men's Shelter volunteer Tony Briggs wanted to do something for his birthday that would give back to others. When he found out the most needed item at the Men’s Shelter is underwear, he rallied his friends.
