65 Hours of Giving is Underway

Give65, a program of Home Instead Charities, is the first and only crowd-fundraising platform exclusively devoted to helping nonprofits raise money online for programs and services that are helping aging adults live with independence and dignity. LMM’s Guardianship Services program needs your support!

National studies show that the demographics of the guardianship population (older adults with dementia and other adults with a severe mental disability) continue to grow as does the number of adults who are vulnerable to abuse, neglect and exploitation. Seen as a model program, Guardianship Services significantly impacts the health and well-being of incompetent and indigent older adults.

The 65-hour window closes Friday at 2AM. Thanks for making a difference!

Get #VoteReady for Ohio's Special Election

On Tuesday, July 11, early voting began in the August 8 Special Election that will decide on Ohio's State Issue 1. Ohioans are able to vote early at their county's board of elections until August 6, but, if they want to vote on Election Day, they will have to go to their local polling location, which they can find here.

Voter registration ended on Monday, July 10, which means that the Ohio Secretary of State's office will begin sending out absentee ballots to those who already requested them. It is not too late to request an absentee ballot! You have until Tuesday, August 1, a week before Election Day, to fill out the request form and mail it back to your county board of elections. Once you've received your absentee ballot, you must mail it back to your county board of elections no later than August 7, the day before Election Day, or return it in person to your board of elections by 7:30PM on Election Day.

John Carroll University's CSSA Hosts Roundtable at LMM

LMM recently hosted John Carroll University’s 2023 Summer in the City internship cohort for a roundtable discussion and walk-through of LMM's Richard Sering Center. The group learned about the mission of LMM and its various programs, discussed the importance of advocacy with our Advocacy and Development & Communications teams, and chatted with LMM Workforce Development Academic Program Manager, Liz Stiles.

We were so grateful to welcome the John Carroll students to LMM and to have the opportunity to work with JCU CSSA interns each summer!
