3D-Printed Housing as a Solution to Homelessness

LMM would like to thank the Cleveland City Council's Development, Planning & Sustainability Committee (DPS), and Councilwoman Stephanie Howse-Jones, for the opportunity to provide commentary on legislation that would be a significant step in ending homelessness in Cleveland through 3D-printed housing.

If this legislation passes, LMM would be granted city dollars to demonstrate 3D-printed homes for individuals who are low income or experiencing homelessness. LMM has been exploring 3D printed homes as an affordable and innovative solution to homelessness for the last four years. Stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks.

LMM's remarks begin around the 9:30 mark:

Affordable Housing Month 🏠

May is National Affordable Housing Month, a time dedicated to advocating for and emphasizing the importance of housing justice and affordability.

LMM believes that housing is a human right and that affordable housing is the solution to homelessness. Through the launch of the Breaking New Ground initiative in 2019, LMM has been the landlord that it wishes to see in the community by supporting families exiting homelessness with affordable rents in safe, renovated housing.

As proud supporters of Fair Chance Housing, LMM is an advocate of tenant protections that do not discriminate against renters on their sources of income, criminal record, race, gender and more.
