“This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.”

Luke 22:19

April 08, 2024

From the Desk of Mr. Marty Van Hulle, Principal

SAL Parents:

And down the stretch we go . . . ! It’s hard to believe that we are so rapidly approaching the end of the school year. And as we head toward the finish line a reminder that your efforts as volunteers are as critical as ever. Unfortunately, we have been short handed when it comes to helpers during our lunch periods for the past few weeks. We are able to manage the cafeteria with school staff; however, having parent assistance during recess and to give Bekah a break in the office is necessary. Please be sure you are doing your best to fulfill your family’s obligations to assist as needed. Our sign up can be found here. Have a great week ahead!

Take care and God bless,

M. Van Hulle

Principal, SAL

Brewers Math Day Field Trip - Grades 3rd-8th

On Wednesday, May 15, students in grades 3-8 will be heading to AmFam Field for Brewer Math Day. As part of the day, students will learn basic statistics through the game of baseball. Staff will receive a workbook to incorporate into their math lessons prior to the game and at the game, students will use their math skills to complete portions of the workbook.

The game against the Pittsburgh Pirates begins at 12:10 so we will be departing from SAL at 10:30 on the 15th . We will head home from AmFam at 3:15 and our goal is to return to SAL between 3:45 and 4:00.

Each ticket includes a free hot dog and bottled water; in addition, students can either pack a cold lunch to eat on the bus or purchase additional items at the ballpark should they so choose.

Students will wear SAL Spirit Wear (or their Mission Shirts), and weather permitting, shorts for the game.

Safe Environment Education

Anyone who is volunteering in any manner here at St. Anthony on the Lake will need to participate in a one-time training titled “Safe Environment Education”. This training is mandated by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. To register and for additional information, please go to the Safe Environment page on the Archdiocese website. Again, this training, along with a background check, is a one-time training requirement for all adults.

Greeters at Sunday Mass

Would your family like to greeters on Sunday Mornings at Church? Greeters play an important part in welcoming parishioners and visitors to Mass each week. Greeters have several important duties before Mass begins. They welcome people into the building, show them where to hang coats, where to find the restrooms and where the childcare room is.

How does your family become Greeters? You will need to contact the Music and Liturgy Office and have your family’s name added to the Greeters Participation Group of MySAL. Once your name is in the Participation Group you can go in at anytime and sign up for the date and Mass time you wish.

If you have any questions, contact Vincent LaTona in the Prayer and Worship Office at 262 691-1173 ex. 1109 or by email at latonav@stanthony.cc.
