Assalamu Alaikum
Dear Family & Friends of ICSC,
The Islamic Center of Southern California wishes you and your loved ones a blessed Eid Mubarak!
On this day of Eid al-Adha,
Muslims around the world reflect on the the sacrifice and submision of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) and his beloved son Ismail.
Eid Al-Adha also marks the end of this year's hajj pilgrimage. Annually, hajj brings over 2 million Muslims from around the world together to worship in Mecca, the city at the heart of our faith. Today is also the perfect day to remember how Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) and Ismail both emanated virtues of
dedication and hard work while constructing the Kaaba - the building at the center of Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca and the center of hajj.
Thank you to everyone who celebrated
Eid Prayers with us today at the Pasadena Convention Center! We are so grateful to have hosted all of you and hope that we will see you again soon for our upcoming programs at the Center.
Please note that the Center will be closed this weekend in observance of Eid and Labor Day. We will be open for all five prayers as scheduled. Our
Fall Sunday Program and
Sunday School both begin next Sunday, Sep. 10. If you have children between the ages of 4 - 13 years old that still need to be registered for Sunday School,
sign them up today. This is a great opportunity for children to learn about Islam in a structured, child-friendly environment.
We look forward to seeing you and your loved ones at an Islamic Center event next weekend!
In peace,
Islamic Center of Southern California
