Blood Drive March 22

Our first blood drive was such a success that we are going to rock this again! On Friday March 22 First Church is hosting the Red Cross and lots of donation slots are still open (especially 11am-1:00pm). We would love to get at least 20 more people signed up. Here is the link to sign up!

If you can't sign up to donate-but you'd still like to be part of this giving mission please send an email to Siobhan at We need one or two support people (8:30am-11:30am and 11:30am-2:30pm) to check people in on their computer. Very simple and super fun because I'll be there with extra snacks and we can hang out together.

Thanks in advance for any support you can provide-including prayer! Siobhan

Sunday School News

Do you recall how many times I had maybe one student in Sunday School (Reagan, the fabulous granddaughter of Jim and Sharon Scofield, was my star student and Sunday School sidekick) during the pandemic? We had twelve children last week (including the three little ones in child care)!

During the season of Lent we have focused on the life of Jesus, with particular attention to the parables, which are so beautifully visualized with Godly Play. Thank-you parents for bringing your children to church and making us all part of this great community of love and learning!

Sharon Scofield, Sue Burgess, Nina Johnson, Kelly Bourgeois, and Olivia are the Sunday School team but we welcome more and will announce an info breakfast meeting after Easter for those who may be interested in this great service opportunity.

On Tuesday, March 26th Essex County Community Organization is hosting an In-District Action with Senator Creightin along with Reps Capano, Cahill and Armini to discuss two important bills related to housing justice. This is an opportunity to get clarity on where our legislators stand on housing and to demonstrate the collective power of congregations on the north shore. The action will take place on Tuesday, March 26th at 6:30pm at Zion Baptist church in Lynn. Let’s all stand up for affordable housing!

Look for your Easter Lily donation letter in the mail in early March. If you do not receive a letter, please contact the office. Thank You.

Spiritual Conversations with Coffee in January

Group led conversations before church, about scripture and the life of faith, and the journey we are on with God and each other. The January meetings will take place on January 21/28 at 9:10 AM in the Library.
