Филип Ђурковић (32), са Цетиња у Црној Гори (брат нашег парохијана Јакова Ђурковића), био је једна од жртава бесмислене трагедије која се догодила 12. августа, 2022. године у његовом родном граду. Тог дана је погинуло 11 људи, међу којима двоје деце, а Филип је у критичном стању превезен у болницу. Још је у болници и чека га дуг пут до опоравка.

The 5K run/1-mile walk “Run Like Kat” Road Race is an opportunity to bring our community together to remember Katarina “Kat” Boskovic, honor her legacy and celebrate her many incredible, positive qualities. 

Among these attributes, Kat was incredibly kind, inclusive, funny and had a unique ability to always see the good in people. 

While the sadness and impact of her loss remain, the Kat Boskovic Memorial Fund will allow Kat’s legacy also to remain with us and positively impact our community. 

Kat was a superb student athlete, mentor and youth track coach, yet above all, she adored her family and was a loving, loyal and genuine friend who touched so many lives.

While we should all aspire to Be Like Kat, let’s honor her on Friday, 11/25 and together Run Like Kat!

New Luncheon Pricing

Dear all, the Kolo sisters are increasing the suggested price of our Sunday Luncheons after more than a decade.

Suggested donation is $15 for adults, $10 for Seniors and students, and free for children under 12. Of course, any amount is much appreciated.

21st Sunday after Pentecost

“A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” Then His disciples asked Him, saying, “What does this parable mean?” And He said, “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘Seeing they may not see, And hearing they may not understand.’ Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

А ученици Његови питаху Га говорећи: Шта значи прича ова? А Он рече: Вама је дано да знате тајне царства Божијег; а осталима у причама, да гледајући не виде, и чујући не разумеју. А прича ова значи: Семе је реч Божија. А које је крај пута то су они који слушају, али потом долази ђаво, и узима реч из срца њиховог, да не верују и да се не спасу. А које је на камену то су они који кад чују с радости примају реч; и ови корена немају који за неко време верују, а кад дође време кушања отпадну. А које у трње паде, то су они који слушају, и отишавши, од бриге и богатства и сласти овог живота загуше се, и род не сазри. А које је на доброј земљи то су они који реч слушају, и у добром и чистом срцу држе, и род доносе у трпљењу. Ово говорећи повика: Ко има уши да чује нека чује.
