Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month and we’re thankful for all the contributions women have made in our community. The 2024 Women's History Month honorees will be announced at the City Commission Meeting on March 12, 2024.

Upcoming Neighborhood Associations Meeting

All four of the City’s primary neighborhood associations (the Westside Association of Wilton Manors, Central Area Neighborhood Association, Three Bridges Neighborhood Association, and East Neighborhood Association) will meet tomorrow, March 6, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at Hagen Park (2020 Wilton Drive). 

During this meeting, city staff will present on the impact local, county, state, and federal priorities and policies may have on Wilton Manors, and provide updates on long-term plans.

Daylight Saving Time Ends This Weekend

Mark your calendar, Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Don't forget to move your manual clocks forward one hour (think of old school alarm clocks, watches, and ovens), and enjoy the extra hour of sunlight.

March Utility Payment Service Schedule Adjustments

Reminder: The City’s computer systems are being upgraded, and the customer service window in City Hall and online payment services will not be available to accept utility payments during the following days and times for the system migration:

City Hall Customer Service Window Closure:

• Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
• Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 9 a.m. through Monday, March 18, 2024, at 1 p.m.

Online Payment Services Unavailable:

• Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 9 a.m. through Monday, March 18, 2024, at 1 p.m.

Do you know of an individual or volunteer organization that helped ensure Life's Just Better Here in 2023? The CAAB is seeking nominations for honorees for the 2024 Skip Stadnik Community Spirit Awards for excellence in volunteerism. 

To submit your nomination, please download the form at the link below or pick up a copy from City Hall, fill it out, and email the completed form to Johnnie Goodnight at jgoodnight@wiltonmanors.com by March 31, 2024.

Movies on the Drive

March 8, 2024, at 7 p.m.

Three more days until our next Movies on the Drive screening, featuring "Barbie," makes it to the big screen at Hagen Park (2020 Wilton Drive). All Island City community members are encouraged to come out and enjoy the free movie. All you need to pack is your blanket and favorite snacks.

The upcoming Goals & Objectives Meeting on March 12, 2024, at 6 p.m. will be held in the Commission Chambers at City Hall (2020 Wilton Drive).

If you are unable to attend and would like to submit a public comment, email it to publiccomment@wiltonmanors.com prior to the start of the meeting. Please include your name and address in the email. Public comments received by 6 p.m., prior to the start of the meeting, will be delivered to the Commission before the meeting and be part of the public record.

Join us for our next monthly Live@Mickel concert, featuring "The Petty Hearts: A Tom Petty Tribute," on March 15, 2024, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Can't make it? The final concert of the season is on April 19, 2024, and will feature Karina Iglesias from NBC's "The Voice."

Spring Fest
