From Your Chamber Director

Can you believe it's August already? I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of school, routines and our many upcoming events!

I hope you'll join us tomorrow for Coffee Talk at 9 AM at the PIX. We'll be hearing from Jonathan Hansen, Pharmacy Operations Manager for the Mulvane Pharmacy and Damm Pharmacies.

On Wednesday, we've got the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon + Business Expo at Mulvane High School. I want to thank the many businesses that have sponsored this event and donated raffle items for our teachers. Your support means so much! There's still time to add an item to our raffle too!

As mentioned last week, I've included a member survey for our Chamber members to share feedback. I'm looking forward to reading your responses and learning more about your business and needs. Click here to take the survey!

Over the past few weeks, we've been working hard to revamp our Chamber committees and we're excited to share them with you. The Chamber works best when our members are active and collaborating. I want to invite you to take a look at our committees and chose one to join! It's a great way to meet other members and get more involved.

Thank you,

Brittany Kruger

Upcoming Chamber Events

Interested in sharing about your business or a specific topic during Coffee Talk?

We've got a few dates available this fall & we'd love to welcome you to present. We do ask that you bring a small door prize for one attendee to win!

Mark your calendars for the Old Settlers Street Dance with the Jack Fancy Band

Jack Fancy Band is a 3-piece, high energy dance band that hails from Central Arkansas and has been entertaining folks throughout the Mid-South for 12 years now. Lead singer and guitar player Kevin Gottsponer has grown up with music in his blood. He is the front man of the group and came up with the unique name for the band when he was in High School. Randy Tokarz is the bass player and provides backup vocals as well. He hails from a small town in Arkansas that nobody knows about excerpt a few bootleggers and revenue men. He has been providing the thump that makes you move for 5 years now. The drummer for the band is Ben Higgs, a native of Mulvane Kansas and a 1980 graduate of MHS (Go Wildcats)! He has been with the group going on 3 years and is honored to be playing alongside two of the best musicians that he has had the privilege of sharing a stage with. Collectively, they bring a wide range of musical talent and song selections. JFB covers country, rock, pop, blues and a few surprises every time they play. You will hear something from Merle, Hank Jr, The Black Crows, ZZ Top, Rick Springfield, Michael Jackson, and both Georges (Strait and Jones), just to name a few. They have also been known to play a song request or two. Come out and sing along with your favorite tunes or dance the night away. We promise - you will have a great time!
