Start your weekend off right with a special
Family Night program at New Horizon School in Pasadena. We will meet at 6 p.m. for food and fun before breaking into a youth segment about music festivals while adults meet with Heather Laird for Part 2 of Mental Health. Sandwiches will be available for purchase. Please
RSVP!
On Sunday, we will clean our halls and garden our lawns at
Mosque Beautification Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will need help deep cleaning the social hall and planting succulents in front of the building - volunteers of all ages are encouraged to participate. This is a great way to take care of our Center and meet new people. For a list of helpful supplies to bring with you, please visit our
website. A light lunch will be served for all those who come to help out!
Volunteers and refugees sort and organize donations at ICSC Gives Back on Suday, Aug. 6.
Finally, thank you to all who stopped by last weekend to donate school supplies, backpacks and clothing for our ICSC Gives Back event. With your help, we were able to provide clothing and blankets to 3 Syrian refugee families from the Los Angeles area. All the families express their sincere gratitude for your generosity.
Following the event, we were notified that there are still refugee children in need of school supplies and backpacks before classes start next week. To help ease the financial hardships of refugee families this school year, we humbly request that you consider making a donation to cover the cost of a backpack ($25), school supplies ($50), or both ($75). Please stop by the front desk today and mention that you would like to support this fund.
Thank you. We look forward to seeing you and your loved ones at the Islamic Center this weekend!
In peace,
Islamic Center of Southern California
