RETURN TO IN-PERSON WORSHIP DELAYED - REDEDICATION ON FEB. 6
Due to COVID-related delays in our construction our return to in-person worship and ministry has been delayed until Sunday, February 6. We will open worship at 9 am on the 6th with a rededication of our building for ministry, the celebration of communion and Pastor Lisa continuing the Perfectly Imperfect Series. Regular office hours and building use will resume, February 7. Because COVID numbers remain high, we will delay resuming coffee hour fellowship until March.

Sunday Worship Service - January 30, 2022
Pastor Rob Hamilton Preaches - Frenemies
1 Samuel 17:57 – 18:9 - David and Saul have a pretty tense relationship. In this reading, David wins the favor of the people and Saul gets jealous. It's even more troublesome to Saul that his son Jonathan enters into a covenant relationship or bromance with David. For years, Saul will try to hunt, jail and kill David. David will be cunning and merciful. There will be a reprieve and it will all come to an end when Saul and Jonathan are killed in battle. How does God use these adversarial relationships to form and shape us by identifying our role and what we can do to build bridges in relationships.

POTTAWATOMIE HABITAT NEEDS OUR SUPPORT
|
|
To all Pottawatomie Habitat Partnership member churches,
Covid-19 has severely restricted the Partnership's ability to raise funds to meet our commitment of $35,000.00 to pay for our portion of the construction costs for the house currently under construction at 9 S. Spuhler, Batavia, IL. Currently, the Partnership is about $19,000.00 short in meeting our commitment.
To help meet our commitment, an internet fund raising page has been set up by Chicagoland Habitat to allow individuals and groups to contribute to our fund raising need.
Please let your church members know about this fund raising page to help the Partnership meet our fund raising shortfall.
Thank you for helping the Partnership meet its commitment.
Gary Dittmer, PHP Chairman
Robert Bendeich, PHP Secretary

APPORTIONMENT RECEIPTS EXCEED EXPECTATIONS
Despite challenging times and strain on church finances because of the ongoing pandemic, apportionment receipts for 2021 far exceeded expectations and will allow the Conference to pay 100 percent General Church apportionments for the first time in a decade.
The Conference Council on Finance and Administration (CCFA) gives thanks to all the churches that faithfully paid their apportionments, which totaled nearly $5.6 million for the Conference budget and General Church funds. Read More Here
