UPCOMING WORSHIP SERVICES

Sunday Worship Service - January 16, 2022
Pastor Rob Hamilton Preaches -'God Vision’ - In our world today, we easily judge people by appearances, economic status, education level, religious or political affiliations and then we assign worth, even opportunity. That happened in ancient Bible times too. God, however, doesn’t judge like we do, instead we learn in 1 Samuel 16:4-13 that God looks upon our hearts.

Open Gym Day Jan 22- Our youth group has reserved a gym at Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center from 3:00-5:00 pm on January 22. Baker Memorial UMC's youth group is invited to join us as well. In light of the recent surge in COVID-19 Omicron variant cases, we have decided to not cancel the event but we will no longer be offering a prize for the person who brings the most friends. We want everyone to make the participation decision that makes the most sense for them and their family. We also want to know how many people to expect in order to plan how to move forward with this event so please let us know if you plan on coming by signing up here.

Salvation Army Food Drive - February 6
|
The Committee on Missions/Church in Society will be holding a food drive for the Salvation Army Food Pantry on February 6, when our church building will once again be open. Please bring items to church with you on that Sunday. Any non-perishable items are welcomed, but canned soups, vegetables and fruit, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, boxed macaroni and cheese, “Helper” meals, cleaning supplies, and diapers are always needed.
The Committee is overwhelmingly grateful for the 841 bags and boxes of food donated by the generous members of UMCG in 2021! Food needs are real and ever-present in the Fox Valley—thank you for helping us alleviate those needs and sustaining our less-fortunate neighbors.
