Weekly Member Memo - July 23, 2024

A HUGE shout out to Ron Rubin from River Road Family Vineyards & Winery for sponsoring the Wine Road Podcast, for the 4th Year!

Our show would not be on the air without his financial support.

The Wine Road Podcast benefits all of our members, enticing visitors from across the country to meet the winemakers and hospitality super stars that we interview on the show.

We constantly hear from members letting us know people stopped into their tasting room, because "they heard them on the podcast".

Thank you Ron, for your financial support, your encouragement and positive energy! Thank you for listening and appreciating the shows.

Trained for Saving Lives

The program is run by River Road Family Vineyards and Winery. When owner Ron Rubin suffered a cardiac emergency in 2009, a defibrillator saved his life. Now, it’s his mission to bring these lifesaving machines to wineries around the country.

The program provides free automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to wineries throughout Sonoma County and beyond.

Rubin said he is confident the program will eventually save someone’s life.

“Defibrillators saved my life, so I know they work, “ Rubin said. “For wineries that are open to the public and have tasting rooms and that are concerned about sustainability, they should be concerned about their visitors and their winery staff.”

  • So far, 381 wineries are in the program
  • Over 1,800 people have been trained in CPR and AED use through the program
  • Rubin said the goal is to have 450 wineries participating.

If YOU are interested in more information, email Ron Rubin for details.

Thank you to our partners along the Wine Road for their financial support.
