Hello to all! It’s time for our June golf outing sign-ups. We will be at Vineyards Country Club today, courtesy of June and John Ballew. The South course was completely dug up and redesigned, opening last December to rave reviews. Please pay at the golf course, not through the church. The price is $90.00 including a cart.

For her doctoral thesis, Pastor Angela Wells-Bean is studying what it means for a church to be Open and Affirming. She would like to speak with anyone at Naples UCC who personally identifies as LGBTQ+. These conversations will be completely confidential. The Bargain Box will be holding a focused donation drive once a month. We are overjoyed by the overwhelming success of our focused drive last month. Thank you for your participation and generosity. This month it will be Sunday, June 30, and we are looking for gently used hats and belts. A table will be set up under the portico and donations should be dropped off before and after service. Come for coffee, and stimulating conversation, as we will be reading and discussing If God is Love by Phil Gulley and James Mulholland. Full of Jojo Moyes’ signature humor, brilliant storytelling, and warmth, Someone Else’s Shoes is a story about how just one little thing can suddenly change everything. Our Sunday school for school-aged children will break for June and July but nursery care for infants through 4 years old continues uninterrupted. Our Children’s Ministry has some exciting programs coming for the month of August!

Are you in Naples this summer? We invite you to make a difference in your community! Grace Place is in earnest need of volunteers during the summer months because so many of their regular volunteers are not here. There are many volunteer opportunities in the Grace Place Food Pantry from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with sorting, organizing, packing and distributing canned goods and other food items to the community. Grace Place for Children & Families is planning for the 2024-25 school year. NUCC will once again be collecting filled backpacks for Primary Grades (K-2). A list of the needed supplies can be found below. Filled backpacks can be dropped off at the church office; there will also be a box in the narthex for drop-off during the week. The deadline for donations is Friday, July 12. Their “Back to School Bash” is scheduled for Saturday, July 20 this year. Thank you for helping us support the children of Collier County!

For all those who are registered voters in Collier County, primary election day is on August 20. The last day to request your vote-by-mail ballot is on Thursday, August 8.
