Religious Education News Unitarian Universalist Church of Canton
RE Mission
Our religious education program works to create an accepting environment that empowers children and youth to explore their spirituality, celebrate diversity, and live our Unitarian Universalist values.
Family Ministry
We believe that families play a vital role in furthering this empowerment to explore and live our UU values. We are excited to support our families by offering ideas from the UUA's Tapestry of Faith program as well as graces and thought provoking questions related to the topics introduced during Sunday religious education classes. We hope you find this new initiative enjoyable and spiritually fulfilling for your whole family.
In RENext Week
Next Sunday our religious education program begins.

A Table Grace:
Bless the food before us,
the family beside us,
and the love between us.
Chalice Lighting:
Fire and water, ancient opposites.
Sun and ocean, the cradle of life.
Dancing flame and dancing river -
We invoke them together today as we kindle our chalice flame.
This Sunday, all of our children and youth attended the Ingathering Worship Service and Water Communion.
Family Discussion - As we celebrate our water communion, many people in the south are dealing with flood waters from Harvey, and Irma. During a shared meal, discuss how your family would like to support those families in need? Is it sharing a prayer, learning more about this years hurricane season, giving money, or traveling to help?
Family Giving
The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) has joined with the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) to establish the Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund. Click here to donate.
