There are just a few tickets left for the Annual Membership Meeting on April 3, 2024. Deadline to reserve ad space in both the printed program and digital program is Friday, March 29th. The Annual Membership Meeting is our largest networking luncheon of the year. Chairwoman Susan Graham, will recap the 2023-2024 programs and successes and present the Chair awards. Members will participate in the General Election, including appointment of 2024-25 Chair, Steven Earhart and new board appointments Matthew Wright-Conti (CMS) and Melissa Dell Renner (KW Jersey Shore). U-Imagine Center’s Digital Spark program
Ursinus College was granted a round of funding to provide support to 5 local businesses this summer. This funding enables Ursinus College to offer a select group of young, local businesses digital marketing support at NO CHARGE to them. Ursinus College is able to pay students to provide full-time assistance to those businesses selected for 8 weeks, from May 28 to July 19. Students will work with their business client on a digital marketing project that can reasonably be completed during that time frame. Areas of need that could be supported include, but are not limited to:
• Digital Marketing promotions for the launch of a new product initiative or start-up
• Development or enhancement of Social Media/Digital Marketing presence
• Competitive Market Research
• Digital Marketing data collection (Analytics) and organization
• and Google Analytics

Meet the new Director of Commerce for Montgomery County
Stephen Forster is the new Director of Commerce. Mr. Forster spent over two decades in commercial real estate development, sourcing and placing both debt and equity domestically and internationally for projects throughout the United States in a diverse range of product types. Mr. Forster spent several years raising capital throughout China and Vietnam, establishing two China-based sales offices and hiring and training China-based staff members.
Mr. Forster previously spent 10 years as Senior Vice President of Public Finance and Government Relations with a MontCo-based privately held brownfields redeveloper and was responsible for regional land development initiatives, obtaining entitlements, and financing all phases of the project pipeline. Mr. Forster also managed all aspects of the company’s economic development and EB-5 initiatives and coordinated government relations. Mr. Forster holds a J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California, a B.A. in Political Science from California State University—Long Beach and is an attorney, admitted to the California State Bar in 1994.

Montco Tax Rebates for Volunteer Fire & EMS
The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners today authorized a property tax rebate program for volunteer members of fire companies and eligible nonprofit emergency medical service (EMS) agencies in Montgomery County to acknowledge the value and dedication of active EMS volunteers and to encourage others to become involved.
To qualify for a tax rebate under the Active Volunteer Service Tax Rebate Program, an individual must have been a member of a volunteer fire company or eligible EMS agency for the entire eligibility period. Emergency responders will be able to receive a rebate of 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of their real estate property tax of Montgomery County, depending on their participation in emergency response calls, trainings, public education activities, leadership roles, and other activities.

Grant assistance for PECO Commercial Natural Gas Customers impacted by Covid-19 pandemic
Small businesses affected by the pandemic can now apply to receive a one-time grant of $500 towards their existing PECO natural gas account. The grant will be applied directly to your bill and will lower current outstanding balances or provide a credit for future charges.
To be eligible, applicants must have an active PECO gas account on or before March 31, 2020, take service under Rate GC (gas commercial service), have fewer than 25 employees, and have experienced financial hardship resulting from the pandemic. Each commercial gas business is eligible for only one grant, regardless of the number of gas accounts listed under the business name.
Applications will be considered in the order they are received, while funding lasts – apply today!

Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program
Older and disabled Pennsylvanians can apply now for rebates on property taxes or rent paid in 2021.
The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and people with disabilities age 18 and older. The income limit is $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 annually for renters, and half of Social Security income is excluded.
After checking eligibility requirements, you can file your rebate application online by visiting mypath.pa.gov. Submitting your application online does not require you to sign up for an account. You can check the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program instruction booklet to learn which information you will need to complete the process.
