ICYMI: We're Vaccinating; Now What?
Now that the vaccine is rolling out, what do we do next? Can we visit our loved ones? Can we return to the gym? Can we go shopping? What can we do? Dr. Sandra Brooks from Thomas Jefferson Hospitals and Dr. Jay Kostman from Philadelphia FIGHT joined us to answer all of our questions. We received much-needed answers to help us understand what we can do once we're vaccinated.

Focus on the 15th St area by the Crosstown Coalition 
The Center City Coalition which originated in August 2019 from conversations initiated by CCRA President Maggie Mund convened to address quality of life/street ambience issues in the area between Broad St. and 19th street with a particular focus on the environs of 15th Street, the locale of the CCC’s charter members.
Wanted: New Zoning Committee Members
The Zoning Committee is now seeking applications to join this active group. Meetings are once a month, and active participation is required. Community engagement is a must; knowledge of the zoning code can be learned on the job. You must be a CCRA Member.

Farmers to Families Food Box Distribution
Nutritional Development Services is hosting a Farmers to Family meal distribution this Saturday 3/20. They have 7 days of breakfast and lunch meal boxes for children who are virtually learning for ages 2-18 and USDA meal boxes that have milk, meats, cheeses and vegetables. Individuals can come for just the USDA boxes or both.
Pandemic Silver Lining: Drive-Ins are Back!
Social distancing notwithstanding, many folks are not comfortable at an indoor movie theater. But an outdoor movie theater?

That was the thinking of the Philadelphia Film Society, hence the PFS Drive-in at the Navy Yard, which can accommodate up to 180 cars to enjoy films on the venue’s two screens which are fastened to stacked shipping containers.
Phila Open Studio Tours
Philadelphia Open Studio Tours (POST) invites you to attend free virtual tours on four Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., including 200 artists at 30 studio spaces. Each of the 4 evenings features artists in different parts of Philadelphia. Center City West is included in the West section on Wednesday, April 14. (Other areas: Northwest on April 7, Northeast on April 21, and South including Center City East on April 28.) Tours are free; registration is required.
Not Perennial: All-Different, Much Bigger Phila Flower Show for 2021
Under normal circumstances, the Flower Show is held in early March indoors at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Not. This. Year. In 2021, the largest, longest-running horticulture event will not be indoors but outdoors, at FDR Park, and not in the beginning of March but in June, June 5 through 13, specifically.

If nothing else, it will be bigger. How much? 15 acres, which is a 45% increase in size over the norm.
