After 20+ years, the Rosenbach Garden will reopen
After more than 20 years, the historic (and hidden!) garden is reopening to the public on today, September 17.

The Rosenbach’s garden is a 1,600 square foot green oasis tucked behind the Delancey Place townhomes that house the museum and library. The space is unique in that it is the last original garden left on the block. Others have been converted to parking spaces, building extensions, or never existed in the original blueprint when the townhouses were constructed in the mid-19th century.

The Rosenbach is pleased to offer free admission for the first month after opening - though our eager audience has already snapped up the first batch of tickets and slots are unavailable through October 3.
Only in a Pandemic: Live Concerts from an Unfinished Condo’s 7th Floor

Saying he’s trying to bring some normalcy back, Dranoff Properties CEO Carl Dranoff is putting on two more pop-up concerts from the seventh floor of his unfinished skyscraper on Broad Street. Called “Serenade on the Avenue”, the shows will feature University of the Arts students and faculty. Socially distanced, of course. The dates: Sept. 30th (Broadway show tunes; October 14th (jazz).

Only 2 weeks left to complete the 2020 Census
You (and everyone you know) can fill out the census at
Census Facts:
  • Did you know, completing the 2020 Census takes just 10 minutes, and will have an impact on the city for the next 10 years?
  • If just one person is missed in the 2020 Census count, Philadelphia could face the loss of $21,000 in federal funding over the next ten years. If an undercount happens, the city’s capacity to meet the needs of its residents will be seriously impacted.

Take action to improve your community and complete the Census!
Sixers Shoot Penn's Landing Airball

Not unlike their season, the Sixers came up empty in their bid for a new 18,500-seat arena at Penn's Landing, as the Delaware River Waterfront Corp. selected the New York-based Durst Organization’s proposal for a $2.2 billion, 3.5-million-square-foot mixed-use venue. The Durst project plans 1,834 residential units, a 225-key hotel and 94,000 square feet of retail space, and requires no public subsidy.
