“Project 2025: The Next Frontier of Christian Nationalism,” with Rachel Laser
Lunch ‘n Learn on Saturday, September 14 at 11:45 AM
Rachel Laser, President and CEO at Americans United for Separation of Church and State, will engage in a thought-provoking conversation about how Christian Nationalists are using Project 2025 as their playbook to undermine our democracy and threaten religious freedom. She will share her unique perspective and experiences to help foster a deeper understanding of these complex issues and why a national recommitment to church-state separation is the antidote to counteract this un-American ideology. There will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions. You can learn more about Laser here. The cost of the program and lunch is $15 per person or $25 for couples. Please register using the September Online service form.

OCJCC-BI 20th Anniversary Celebration and Luncheon
Saturday, September 21; Services begin at 9:30 AM
Twenty years ago, the members of Oxford Circle Jewish Community Centre–Brith Israel merged with the congregation of AJ. Two hundred families became part of the AJ community. On Saturday, September 21, we will be honoring this partnership with a OCJCC-BI 20th Anniversary Celebration and Luncheon.
Our guest speakers will be Rabbi Seymour Rosenbloom, Distinguished Service Rabbi of AJ, and Merril Stup, volunteer extraordinaire. The reflections of former members of OCJCC BI who have made AJ their spiritual home during the past 20 years are eagerly sought. We urge former OC members to express their thoughts in writing. In brief written form, tell us your story. The written remarks will be collected and made available at the celebratory Shabbat and luncheon. Submit your remarks to Ed Moses at karedlon@aol.com no later than September 18. Please register for the service and luncheon using the September online service sign-up form. If you would like to defray the costs of the luncheon, you can become an OCJCC-BI Shabbat Angel by contributing $36 (minimum)! Go to https://www.adathjeshurun.info/form/OCJCC-angels.html.
