Spotlight: Upcoming Staff Changes
On Sunday, June 23, we will say farewell to two beloved Grace Church staff members. David Heinze, our Associate Director of Music since 2019, will be moving to New York, where he will be the Director of Music & Organist at Christ Church (Episcopal), Bronxville. Vivian Blais, Director of Children & Youth, and her husband Cameron will be moving to Michigan to be nearer to her family and eventually grow their own.
Both David and Vivian have contributed so much to the life of our parish, and we will miss them. But we are happy for them both to begin the next chapters of their lives and wish them all the best! Please join us for a special Coffee Hour following church on Sunday, June 23, to wish a fond farewell to David and Vivian.

Feasibility Survey Report and
Some Very Good News!
Thanks to all who participated in our Capital Campaign Feasibility Survey. We had nearly 100 responses; 94% indicated that they supported the Organ and Mural Restoration Projects, with a similar percentage indicating that they would be willing to contribute over a period of 2 to 5 years. The vestry will be forming a committee to lead the campaign, and you'll be hearing more about that in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, we have received a most generous gift of $2,000,000 towards the restoration and rebuilding of the organ. With the $250,000 we had already raised, this not only allows us to proceed with the mural restoration and Phase 1 of the organ project (new console, front organ, and some portion of the back organ), but possibly to be able to complete the restoration of the entire organ. Our donors (who wish to remain anonymous) are hopeful that their gift will inspire the congregation's involvement, allowing us to complete this monumental project. We are deeply grateful to all who have contributed, and will contribute in the future, to ensure that our noble and historic organ sings for many years to come.
Vince Edwards, Organist & Director of Music
The Rev. Canon Jonathan Huyck, Rector

Save the Date -
Grace Church Day on Trinity Sunday!
On Sunday, May 26th, we will celebrate Trinity Sunday as “Grace Church Day,” with a festive, pot-luck lunch after the 10 a.m. service. Normally, we would celebrate Grace Church Day on Ascension Sunday (the closest thing Grace has to a “Feast of Title”), but a wedding and reception are scheduled for the day prior, and it wouldn’t be possible to turn around the Pavilion in time. This year, Trinity Sunday is an excellent day for a parish celebration at Grace, as it’s the final day of the choir season, so we’ll have great music! Wedding schedule permitting (weddings/receptions represent a sizable piece of our annual income), we will return next year to celebrating Grace Church Day on Ascension Sunday. For now, set your calendars for May 26 to celebrate our common life at Grace…and the Holy Trinity, of course!

The Feast of the Ascension
Almighty God, whose blessed Son our Savior Jesus Christ ascended far above all heavens that he might fill all things: Mercifully give us faith to perceive that, according to his promise, he abides with his Church on earth, even to the end of the ages; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
