Holy Moments: Aware and Awake

This Sunday in worship we begin a series called "Holy Moments" based on a book by Matthew Kelly, which focuses on the need to be aware of and respond to God's many invitations and challenges us to be awakened to what is possible when we respond to to God's leading.

This week we will look closely at the account of Jesus' transfiguration as told in Luke 9, in which some disciples were "weighed down with sleep" but awoke to see the glory of Christ in the midst of those who stood with him. It is a profound revelation of God's beloved, as well as an invitation for all disciples to "be awake." All are welcome! 10:30 AM worship, 9:00 AM classes.

**Adult Inquirer's Class begins this Sunday at 9:00 AM in Room 154. Please contact Pastor Joel if you wish to attend!**

Book Fair! This week only, in the church library…

Our Child Development Center is having their 1st book fair this week, commemorating the “Week of the Young Child.” There are many ways to celebrate our children, and they love books! The book fair has been open all week in the library and will be available for us on Sunday morning! You may browse at your convenience, with a few things to note:

1. Please DO NOT take any books with you. Books are there to look at and touch, but all purchases will come by order.

2. There are envelopes for orders and payment. There is also a tax sheet that will tell you what the exact taxes are.

3. Each classroom will have a wish list to add to their collection. If you choose to buy books to donate to children’s classrooms please do so. I will be present to take orders from 10:00 AM until noon on Sunday.

Thank you for your support!

Miss Rainie, CDC Teacher
