Introducing Our 2024-2025 School Theme: Eleos — Live with Kindness

"But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy…" — Titus 3:4–6

This year at DeSales, we are embracing the powerful theme of Eleos, a Greek term used in the Bible that signifies mercy. Eleos represents an unrelenting kindness and goodwill toward the weak and afflicted, paired with a deep desire and action to relieve their burdens.

As we embark on this new school year, let's commit to living out Eleos in our daily lives, showing kindness to one another, uplifting those in need, and creating a community where compassion is our guiding principle. Together, we can make a difference — one act of kindness at a time.

Spiritual Reflection

Christ our teacher, you call each of us to be free of the things that enslave us, and enter into the true freedom of the children of God. Open our hearts, that we may accept your invitation, “Come, follow me.” Give us the grace today to commit our whole selves more fully to you. Help us especially this day to overcome any attachments in our lives that prevent us from following you as energetically as we can. Amen.
