Stallions in the Spotlight

Sophomore Sarah Seidu has been accepted into the Ohio University Medical Academy to be held this July on its campus in Dublin, Ohio. She will be joining 55 other high school students selected to participate from over 30 Ohio high schools for an exciting four-day experience.

Seniors Isabel Davis, Carly Freeman and Lola Tanguay represented the State Championship Cheer team at the Statehouse last week, where they received a Resolution during a Senate session!

Mr. Ayamba traveled to Ohio from Ghana for the graduation of family member Emmanuel Seidu, and presented Principal Garrick with a gift for his family's deep appreciation for all the SFD faculty has done for their family. Pictured: Mr. Garrick, Mr. Edward Ayamba, SFD parent Gifty Appini, and Director of Advancement Tim Jewett.

After our All-School Mass last week, we surprised the 2024 recipients of the Excellence in Teacher Awards. Congratulations to Mrs. Janet Moore, Mrs. Shannon Huelskamp, and Mrs. Lisa Monroe!

Spring Sports in Postseason Play

Good luck to our girls lacrosse team tonight in the Regional Semifinal at Home vs. CSG at 5:00pm.

Good luck to our boys lacrosse team tonight in the Regional Semifinal at Home vs. Granville at 7:00pm.

We will not be clearing the stadium after the girls lacrosse game so you only need one ticket for entry into both games. 

Congratulations to all of the track and field athletes that competed at Regionals last week. Special congratulations to the following athletes that have qualified for the State meet:

Katherine Dortmund - 1st place 100m hurdles; 3rd place 100m dash

Kenyetietta Quinn - 2nd place 200m dash

Girls 4x100m relay - 2nd place - Kenyetietta Quinn, Lindsey Jewett, Katherine Dortmund and McKenzie Amonor

Girls 4x200m relay - 1st place - Kenyetietta Quinn, Amelia Pusateri, Lindsey Jewett and Bella Swallow

The State meet will be held at the University of Dayton's Welcome Stadium. Semifinals are Friday, and the Finals are Saturday.

Winners of the ALL in for SFD Parent Challenge

Congratulations to the Freshman parents! Your class won the ALL in for SFD Parent Challenge competition, earning a dress down day for your child's entire grade this Thursday! But truly, everyone's a winner because we raised an incredible $68,000 for our students during ALL in for SFD!

Class of 2024 - Final Transcripts

Graduating Seniors, please know that your final transcript will be sent to the college or other postsecondary institution that you listed in your Naviance Senior Graduation Survey. Final transcripts will be sent out electronically between June 10-14, 2024. After your college receives the final transcript, there may be a delay of up to two weeks before your college lists your final transcript as received in your student portal. This delay is necessary because admission counselors review each final transcript individually to confirm that each student passed all required classes and fulfilled all the college’s expectations for enrollment.

Sometimes, a student’s college plans change over the summer. When this happens, a final transcript will only be sent to the new college if the student requests it. To do so, please complete the Alumni Transcript Request Form.

Families can choose from a broad menu of programs that include a variety of sports, academic enrichment, and faith based activities specifically for kids to explore their passions! Nurse's Notes

ATTENTION CURRENT JUNIOR STUDENTS/PARENTS!

*All junior students are required to submit verification of a second dose (given on or after their 16th birthday) of the Meningococcal conjugate (MenACWY) vaccine prior to the start of their senior year. It is a requirement in Ohio for all incoming seniors. Families can email the updated immunization record to the School Nurse, Kelli Fitzpatrick, BSN, RN, LSN, at fitzpatrick@desales.co or bring in a hard copy to school. 

2023-2024 Sick Policy 

Sick children often expose other students and school staff members to illnesses and germs. These illnesses are disruptive to the educational process and to other children and their families. Students who are ill should be kept home to help control the spread of germs. Please follow the guidelines linked here to help keep our school safe and healthy.
