The Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of a vibrant new campaign, “So Much To Love In Santa Barbara,” aimed at highlighting the community's love for their city and highlighting the unique offerings of Santa Barbara.

The “So Much To Love in Santa Barbara” campaign showcases the best of Santa Barbara's culture, history, and local events, inviting residents and visitors alike to celebrate and share their experiences. With a strong visual impact, the campaign will feature iconic landmarks, popular events, and compelling stories from the community who embody the spirit of Santa Barbara. The campaign aims to rejuvenate local pride and encourage participation in community activities and support for local businesses.

Last week, the Chamber and City of Goleta hosted the inaugural Meet Me in Old Town Goleta block party. Hundreds of community members came out to enjoy live entertainment, refreshments, games and good company, demonstrating a strong desire for community engagement and support for local businesses along Magnolia and nearby areas. The event garnered positive feedback from both businesses and community members alike. Check out photos here.

Over the past year, a committed group of downtown property owners and business leaders united with a shared vision for a vibrant and prosperous future for downtown Santa Barbara. The focus has been on developing a Community Benefit Improvement District (CBID) for downtown Santa Barbara, strategically designed to address the area's challenges and foster economic prosperity. We have officially reached the balloting phase of the project to make the vision a reality! CBID Ballots were recently mailed to property owners with a return deadline of Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Santa Barbara County Supervisors Approve Funding for 12 New Mental-Health Beds

The supervisors voted to authorize spending $23 million in state funds

funneled through what’s called the Community Corrections Partnership (CCP).

Improvements to the Franklin Creek Trail was recently approved by the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors. The project will receive Community Development Grant Funding.
