We have reached Travelers Championship week in Middlesex County!
I would like to begin by putting a bow on our Annual Travelers Championship Breakfast, which was held this morning at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel in Rocky Hill. Attendees enjoyed hearing some great stories and a new perspective on the tour from Gary Young, Senior Vice President of Rules & Competitions for the PGA Tour. Each year, the Championship welcomes thousands of attendees, guests, and professionals to central Connecticut, which is a huge economic driver for our region. A huge thank you to Andy Bessette, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Travelers Companies, Nathan Grube, Tournament Director, Rob Croce, Director of Business Development for Travelers Championship, and Travelers Companies for their continued support of the Middlesex Chamber. In closing, I would like to congratulate one of our longtime members, DATTCO, Inc. on 100 great years of service! From their humble roots on a dairy farm in Berlin, CT to New England's top bus dealer and world class motorcoach division, DATTCO has kept their company values and inherent family culture close to heart. On behalf of the entire chamber, I would like to wish Don and the DATTCO team continued success and growth over the next 100 years and beyond!
