Parish Picnic at Buckhead

Sunday, November 6, 2016 beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Annual Parish Picnic will be held this year at Buckhead in Quitman. (Take Hwy 84 to Quitman, turn left at Cass Burch Dodge (Highland Drive) go 4 miles then turn left on Dewey Rd (dirt) go about 1.4 miles Buckhead gate is on the left).
The Men in Blue will be cooking the main course of Chicken, Hamburgers and Hot Dogs - please bring a side dish or a desert to share.

Sunday, November 6th and 13th

On Sunday, November 6th and 13th we will be accepting nominations for the Vestry. Nomination forms will be placed in the bulletin on these Sundays. Please make sure that the person you nominate is willing to serve on the Vestry. Those elected to the Vestry will serve till December 2019.
Vestry elections will take place at the Annual Parish Meeting to be held on January 8, 2017.

The Christ Church Valdosta Lunch Bunch feeds 120 or more hungry children every first and third Saturday of the month. Workers from the church as well as other members of the community who volunteer gather at 11 a.m. at Christ Church to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They pack them in plastic bags, then brown paper bags with logo stickers together with chips, fruit, juice and other healthy goodies purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Please join us, on any 1st or 3rd Saturday.

Can you help the Haven? The women are in need of toiletries and personal items like toothpaste, soaps, lotions, brushes & combs, etc., both regular and travel size.
There is a basket for the Haven collection in the Parish Hall.
