Father Dave will be doing a four-week Adult Sunday School series: "Extraordinary Grace for Ordinary People"-this will include passages of scripture and clips from the 1980 Academy Award winning film Ordinary People connecting the grace of God with the challenges of real life.

Fourth Annual Women's Retreat

Mark your calendars for March 9-10, 2018 there will be a Women's Retreat Weekend held at Christ Church. Friday, March 9, 2018 from 6-9 p.m., Snacks and Fun. Saturday, March 10, 2018 beginning at 9 a.m. with light breakfast and coffee. We will have lunch and end with Eucharist at 2 p.m.

Children's Ministry:
We will have children's program during the Wednesday night teaching series March 7-March 21. Dinner will be served for all children in the nursery. After dinner, children kindergarten - 5th grade will participate in a short devotional and games or crafts.

Foyer Groups are being formed and will be starting up soon. For newcomers, or anyone not familiar with Foyer Groups - it is like a supper club. The groups will meet every other month (six times a year) in a different member's home, or a restaurant, or even the parish hall. This is a great way for newcomers to meet fellow parishioners, and for all to meet those who attend services at other times. It is open to singles and couples, young and old (adults only). Sign-up sheets are in the Parish Hall. For more information contact Tammy Borders.

Stitchers of Love will meet Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall. You do not have to know how to knit or crochet, we have plenty of teachers. All are welcome.

Scholarship Donations 2017-18 School Year
|
The thank-you notes are here from the students in the K-8 Episcopal school in El Pedregal! Last year we donated 70 scholarships to that school in the Dominican Republic, and the students have responded with a set of thank-you notes -- colorful drawings and letters that have been scanned and are posted online in this album.
Each scholarship costs $350, and we will be raising funds for the 2018-19 students at our annual DR dinner and auction on May 3. Stay tuned for more information on that event, but for now -- enjoy the thank-you notes! . |
