Lunch Bunch Needs Volunteers
Expanding this Fall
We are expanding our lunch bunch ministry. Lunch Bunch is a great ministry that feeds children in our community every 1st and 3rd Saturday. This fall we would like to expand the ministry to every Saturday. This means we need volunteers! We will have six teams available and you may sign up for a team and volunteer one Saturday every six weeks. Please see Philip Ryan, Pepi Nelson, or Sandy Sandbach for questions or to sign up.
EYC - Youth Group
EYC: Youth group is up and running! Middle School students meet Wednesdays from 6:45-8 pm. High School students meet Sunday from 6:30-8 pm. Our next big EYC event (all grades) is doing rock climbing at the VSU recreation center on August 26th at 10 AM. The cost is $20 per student. Please let Philip know by August 23rd if your student can make it.
ECF - Episcopal College Fellowship
ECF: The Episcopal College Fellowship started yesterday with the first Thursday night dinner at the Ryan's. They meet every Thursday at 7:30 pm at the Ryan's for food and fellowship. The next big college events are The Happening on August 24th from 1-4 pm. The Happening is a campus wide event where students get to interact with all the student organizations and clubs. We will also have a movie night at the Valdosta theater on August 25th and a lunch and pool party at Debi and Dick Saeger's after church on August 27th. Please contact Philip if you would like to get more involved.
DR 2018 Trip Dates
June 23-30, 2018
Our next mission trip to the Dominican Republic will be from June 23-30, 2018. This is a Saturday-to-Saturday timeline. These new dates avoid conflict with the 2018 Honey Creek High School camp and other committed obligations of some missioners.

Thank you for your kind reception for Padre Sandino Sánchez and his wife, Ysabel Lantigua, at Christ Church on August 13. On Monday, August 14, Julia and Julius Ariail took them to Woodstock, north of Atlanta, to visit the DOK headquarters office. An album of photographs from that visit is available here. On Thursday, August 17, they returned to their home in the city of Boca Chica in the Dominican Republic. On September 8, Padre Sandino will meet Julius at the Santo Domingo airport and accompany him on an overnight visit to the Campamento in El Pedregal to facilitate a discussion about projects for our 2018 trip with Padre Ramón Canela, the new priest in charge of the Campamento.
